Americanmom from Scrapbook Obsession, presumably in a fit of revenge, has tagged me to reveal five quirky things about myself. Now this is very difficult as I am the most normal person I know…by my standards, that is. But let’s give it a shot.
- I love kitchens. Love looking at other people’s kitchens, show homes kitchens, magazine kitchens, TV show kitchens, kitchens in old mansions and castles. Starting to sound like a fetish, huh? But I hate cooking and rarely do it!
- I love going to music festivals and concerts, ballet and opera and I spend lots of time with musicians and those who are musically inclined. But I rarely put a CD in the player and I’ll happily stay all day alone in my house without playng any music. Silence is golden.
- I never wear my earings in my house (unless I’m having a party or something). In fact taking them off is the first thing I do when I get home from work. But I feel undressed if I go out without earings on. And they must colour coordinate with my outfit.
- I always close my eyes during the scary bits in movies or TV shows. When I’m at home I plug my ears up too so I don’t have to listen to the scary music.
- I enjoy reading mystery novels, but I’ll often be too impatient to wait to the end to find out whodunnit so I’ll jump to the end and read the last page; thereby defeating the point of reading a mystery novel. I’m a bit embarrassed about that last one so I’d appreciate it if we could just keep it our little secret.
Hmmm…well maybe I am a little bit quirky after all.

Thanks Karen……um that last quirk is something I do. Um your scray movie one I do that too. Eeeeeks now I have to find some interesting quirks about me…hmmmm might have to ask my hubby lol. My insight has gone out the window!!

I’ve been tagged with this same one, by somebody else, and I’m almost through writing my post. When I re-read my quirks, I sound completely crazy … LOL

Don’t you love it when you have to reveal potentially embarassing things about yourself? I look forward to reading about Mel, Kelly, and Janine too. So now I guess I’ll just be waiting for a revenge tag from you someday, LOL.

Ahhhh…lol! I guess you can count me in as quirky since I have some of the same ones as you! The earrings and the scary movies. I’ve never understood how people can watch the scary part without becoming scared themselves. In fact, I think the music is what makes it worse. So, congrats on being quirky…it makes life that much more fun!!!
i can completely relate to the whole kitchen thing Karen, I hate cooking but i love a well organised kitchen lol. of course everytime i see a kitchen i like i start thinking how i could rearrange it to make it into a scrap space lol…now thats quirky

Totally agree about scary movie music. In fact, I won’t watch them at home … I leave the room and ask Ken to shut the door AND turn the sound down.
lol I’m the same way with scary movies. They freak me out so I won’t even let them in my house! lol As for music…I have to have it going 24/7. Love it every minute of every day. lol Really enjoyed reading your quirks, Miss Impatience. ROFL
I’m just checking out your blog for the first time. I have chime in and say – the scary movie thing? Totally me. If I watch the wrong movie trailer even, I may have a hard time sleeping! Fun stuff – I’ll be back for more!
