National Scrapbook Day

Well apparently Saturday 5th May is National Scrapbook Day.

And here was me thinking that every day was Scrapbook Day!

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) my non-scrapping life is kicking in over this weekend so I won’t be able to join in any of the online events that are taking place to commemorate the occasion. So I thought that I’d at least make a special layout to honour the Day.

Transparent layouts are very popular in the paper scrapping world at the moment so I thought I’d have a go at doing a digi version. Hope you like it.

Anyway, to all scrappers participating in ‘real-life’ or cyber scrapping events, have a great time. Look forward to seeing some of your creations on your blogs.

I didn’t know it was Scrapbook Day! Bummer I won’t have any time to get any scrapping done – ironic, really! ;-)

Karen, this is really gorgeous! I’ve never even heard of transparent layouts (I am soooo out of the scrapbooking “know”), but this looks awesome.

Wow I love that Karen. I thought I might scrap on Saturday since is is the 5th here but also Sunday is study day. Have a great weekend.

Good you told me, now I have to make my first digipage:)Your is great (with the circle you wanted to say that for us every day is scrap day?)

I would love nod wisely and say “that’s exactly what i intended, Corina”. But unfortunately my annoying little honesty bug (I must see about getting it removed) compels me to admit that I didn’t think that deeply. The circle is just because i wanted to do a round layout for a change and it holds all the elements together. But i like your explanation better.
And National Scrapbook Day isn’t just a digi thing. Apparently its across the scrapping spectrum

PS.you are so right, now I have so many ideas, I won’t know what to do with the printer tray. Can’t choose!

Hey i like your LO! Very creative and original… thanks for the inspiration! I replied to your comment on my blog… it’s a bit late, but hope you don’t mind checking it. :) Btw, can you give me tips on how to do rounded stitching? Are there round stitches out there or is it DIY?

Awesome layout! I wasn’t around for NSD either, but I think I’ll try to work on the “every day is NSD” plan…I seem to get away from it for days and it’s hard to make the time to get back to it again!

I love how you put the mini layouts on your big layout – very cool! I might have to scraplift that idea when I scrap the pics I took Saturday.
