Okay! This is a much easier way of dealing with all of the layers than I was taught! This makes SO much more sense to me than what I’ve been doing! I’m going right now and practicing.

Well Antoinette I try to tell myself that if I learn from the experience then the tears were worth it.
Thanks Karen and Martha. But I still don’t understand the value of keeping a flattened PSD file as well as a layered PSD file Karen-Girlfriday.

Great little tut there Karen! Layers and masks are my best friends in PS;) A few people I’ve helped get started were so confused by the use of both. Great idea to get a good explanation of layering on here!

I love photoshop layers. My p/shop layer tip is that you should save your flattened file with a new name So that you retain the layers in the original file.
