Ever Wondered What It’s Like to be a Scrapbooking Columnist?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to write an article and see it published somewhere other than your own blog?
Well here’s your chance to give it a go.
On Sept 20 I’ll be climbing on to that big silver bird and winging my way to Italy and Greece for a month (I know, I can feel your sympathy from here). But Scraps of Mind will still continue to deliver the goods whilst I’m away. I’ll be implementing a number of different strategies to keep the blogging wheels turning whilst I’m in foreign parts, including:
- Long distance blogging. I’m not sure how frequently I’ll be able to do it or what conditions I’ll have available to me, but I’m going to try to post some updates on the move. Should be interesting.
- On-the-spot blog management by my daughter, Seona. Bless her heart, Seona has volunteered to field any immediate technical problems to make sure the site continues to run smoothly.
- Articles which I will be writing before I leave and posting throughout the month.
- And ~ here’s where you come in ~ inviting various guest bloggers to submit articles which will be posted through the five weeks I am away.
Seona has already volunteered to do a couple of posts and I’m extending the invitation to Scraps of Mind readers to take up a guest spot or two with an article of your own.
You’ll have the opportunity to write about a subject that’s close to your heart — Scrapbooking. And you’ll have a byline and link back to your blog.
By the way, If you don’t want to write about Scrapbooking then that’s OK. As long as the topic fits with the Scraps of Mind overall theme I’m sure it will fit in. It might be interesting to find out a little bit more about other paper crafts or other crafts in general.
It should be a bunch of fun to read a variety articles written from different perspectives by different people on Scraps of Mind. And to be honest, I’m a bit excited about the idea.
So the question is: Are You Ready To Give It A Go?
If the answer’s YES! then drop me an email (karen@scrapsofmind.com) and let me know of your interest and what you’ll be writing about. Or you can leave a comment if you like.
If you want some more information then also please email me. I’ll need to have all the potential articles in by Friday 14th September so I can organise a posting schedule for the coming month.
