Scrapbooks were used in a classroom that we visited to document learning about Native Americans. Now that I'm homeschooling my 8-year-old son, I would to get more ideas on how we can use digital scrapbooks for our projects. It seems like there may be lots of great applications. Thanks for suggesting the idea!

Great perspective Olga. Scrapbooking is definitely many different things to different people. That's what makes it so great.

People might not share my opinion but I consider scrapbooking as different type of drawing, in this case made with a computer and softaware. And as such you can use it as you want, as a way of teaching or as a different form of art. It's another tool to express yourself. We not only communicate with words that's only a very little percentage of communication and you can use scrapbooking to communicate anything you want considering the limitations of the method you are using.

But it's a great idea to use it a teaching tool.

Thanks so much for bringing this article to the blog and share it with us and best wishes. :O)

HI,
I have a blog titled
www.creativespectrum.blogspot.com

I love your article! I have thought about scrapbooking in that manner - as a tool for kids that are incredibily visual learners.
I would also love to include your article on my blog (its about creativity for everyone involved with Autism), but was wondering what the source was for the original text? I would be happy to link you also.
Thanks for any info you can pass along.
