Let’s start talking

Welcome to Scraps of Mind. I'm delighted to see you. Why not check out the site, you'll find a bunch of great scrapbooking and blogging articles, tips and tutorials on the Articles Page. And if you enjoy this or any other articles on Scraps of Mind, I'd really appreciate you giving them a thumbs up on StumbleUpon to share them with other Scrapbookers. Thanks for visiting and I look forward to seeing more of you.

I thought we’d try something a little bit different today.

I’ve made a short podcast so you you can get to hear me rather than just read me. It’s just a short 5 minute talk but I’m pretty excited to have created it by myself.

Take a listen and let me know what you think. If this works out well then I might do a few more down the track.

I’m sure you know what to do:

  1. Turn your speakers on
  2. Click on the little Speaker graphic below
  3. Sit back and let me talk at you

  2. Very good job, Karen! Nice to hear your voice, I feel like I know you a lot better now! Great podcast, very interesting and informative.
I look forward to seeing your new-look template when you get it up and running!

Sorry I never got back to you with feedback on that other post, I guess I’ve just been really busy. But I do like your blog and aside from my issues with viewing it (which will not be issues anymore since you are changing the template) I can’t really think of anything you should change. :-)

  5. Great job, Karen. I’m experimenting with this too… just learning so far. Did you use Audacity software for this podcast?

  6. Awesome, so great listening to you ! Somehow it makes it a bit more personal, isn’t that weird ? LOL And no, had no problems with your accent ;-) It will be fun to really hear you every now and than !

  9. Thanks everyone. I’m so glad it went over so well. I’ll definitely do some more in the future.
Yes I used Audacity software Yvonne. It was quite easy to learn but getting it onto my blog was a bit of a nightmare. Still it’s all part of the learning experience.
And by the way, Those Gods of Technology did send a thunderbolt my way so the template upgrade will be soon but not very very soon I’m afraid.

  10. Oh this is wonderful Karen! And I could understand every single word - yay! (for me, as a Dutchie, that’s quite something!) I love the personal touch the podcast offers - haven’t had the nerve to do something like this myself (talk about accent!! LOL)
Somehow your voice reminded me of J.K. Rowling :)
My compliments to the management ;) can’t wait to see the new layout!
