The Internet is a great big global melting pot!
That’s what makes it so great: friendships are no longer bound by geography. We are becoming so much more of a Global Community.
Having said that, sometimes a little parochialism is a comforting thing.
So when I heard that Aussiebloggers was launching it’s blog this week I was interested to jump on board.
The launch coincides with Australia Day (no accident, I’m sure) which is a nice touch. And the intention seems to be to form a supportive Australian blogging community where the topic of your blog is not important, just your sense of community. And by the way, it’s not xenophobic either; the door is open to anyone. Just remember the Australian tradition if you join in and bring a plate or some beer.
There’ll be some guest posts by members and some interviews, which should be pretty cool. I always find it interesting to hear how other people became involved in what they do.
And attached to the blog is a great forum which has kicked off enormously well. There’s so much blogging help and advice being shared there that it has to be a MUST for anyone starting out in blogging.
So if you’re an Aussie on Australia Day click over and check out the Aussiebloggers blog and forum.
Fly the flag and have a terrific Australia Day!

And having been tagged on Australia Day with a meme I had to pass it onto some fellow Aussie Bloggers who I haven’t previously tagged. I hope you don’t mind
