Amazing Response to Guest Posting on Scraps of Mind

Welcome to Scraps of Mind. I'm delighted to see you. Why not check out the site, and if you like what you see, subscribe to my RSS feed and get daily updates delivered to you. If you're not sure what the RSS thing is, then check out this 'RSS made easy' post. Thanks for visiting and I look forward to seeing more of you.

A few weeks ago I put out an invitation to all Scrapbookers, whether you’re into digital scrapbooking, paper scrapbooking or hybrid scrapbooking, to write an article about some aspect of this wonderful hobby and publish it on Scraps of Mind.

I thought this would be a great opportunity to broaden the scope of Scraps of Mind content by adding more authors with different ideas and perspectives. And help to continue the ‘magaziney’ approach that I’ve tried to create here.

And from the perspective of the authors there were a number of benefits also: principally the opportunity to broaden their audience, if they have their own blogs, and to help increase their Scrapbooking profile.

I planned to run a Guest Article once a month to see how things went.

Well the response to my invitation has been fantastic!!

And the variety of the different articles is amazing.

I can’t let these fantastic women wait until the middle of the year before they see their articles published on Scraps of Mind. So I’ve decided that rather than running a monthly Guest Spot, I’m going to have a WEEKLY segment.

You’ve already seen Monique’s terrific article on Scrapbooking your Recipes, now watch out next Tuesday for Joe’s PSP tutorial on Textures. And every week going forward (unless we run out of guest contributions) Scraps of Mind will host a Guest Spot.

So if you’ve been toying with the idea of giving this a go, please jump in. Everybody who’s into Scrapbooking has something worthwhile to write about it. And it’s very buzzy to see your work published on someone else’s blog. I did a Guest Spot for Kayla this week and I really enjoyed seeing my article on her blog (it looked kind of funny with a white background instead of cream though).

This is going to be a bunch of fun and I hope even more of you will join us. Some blogs have Creative Teams, here at Scraps of Mind we have a JOURNALIST TEAM!

  3. Thanks Tink. I’m particularly excited by how diverse they all are. It’s exactly that extra variety that I was hoping to bring to Scraps of Mind.
