		<description>I guess it might be because the acid content of old ephemera is quite high and that makes them deteriorate  as well as impacting the other paper products they touch.</description>

I have a scrapbooking question. 

Why is it that I don&#039;t see more scrapbookers using antique and vintage materials for their project.

It can&#039;t be for lack of selection, there are millions of lbs of ephemera bits, almanacs and postcards, old book jackets, and book plates, antique photo mats and frames.

Most paper and book dealers would be more than happy to get any price for their damaged ephemeral lots and would smile from ear to ear just to see them go to a good home, myself included.
