CommentLuv thank you for your comments

commentluv here

This week I installed a plug in called CommentLuv on Scraps of Mind.

I should point out that I believe this is a plug in for WordPress only and you can’t install it on the free Wordpres.com blogs.

I installed it because I thought this was a cool way to say thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave a comment here.

So now every time you leave a comment on Scraps of Mind, CommentLuv will hop over to your own blog’s feed and grab a link to your latest post. It will then display this under your comment.

So what! you say.

Well what this means is you get a meaningful link back to your blog (a good thing in itself) and other Scraps of Mind readers who may be interested or intrigued by your post title can easily click over to you.

Cool idea huh?

Of course this only works for those of you who have added your blog address into your comment profile when you leave your comment. And if you do not want to promote your blog here, you can just uncheck the CommentLuv box at the end of the comment section.

So I hope you like this idea and I hope you get some new visitors to your blog from it.

And, of course, I hope you’ll keep on commenting on Scraps of Mind.

Thanks Pat, Robin and Leslie

I thought it was pretty cool when I saw it on another blog. And it’s a great practical way to say thank you to someone for a comment left on your blog.

It’s a Wordpress plug in Pat so it won’t work on Blogger. But they may have something that does the same. i haven’t seen a blogger version in my travels around the blogoverse though.

I have to say June, Wordpress has some fantabulous plug-ins. However most of them can only be used with the self-hosted Wordpress not on the free hosted platform.

I think this plugin works with Blogger too, several of the posts in here have links to their latest post in Blogger. So it does collect information from there and it might even be possible to set it up in Blogger in either the normal or the experimental Dashboard. :D
It’s a terrific idea anyway. Thanks for sharing the tip.
Best wishes.:O)

Actually It doesn’t work on Blogger Olga. It’s a Wordpress plug-in and it will pick up posts from other platforms like Blogger. But I don’t believe you can install it on your Blogger blog.

But if anyone has found a way to do it or knows of a Blogger alternative, please post a comment here and let Scraps of Mind readers who have a Blogger blog in on the secret.

I love the commentluv feature you’ve added to your blog. I have also added it to mine and have found all sorts interesting blogs to go to from the people that have posted comments on my sites. I just found your site today and it looks really great. Have mostly done regular scrapbooking but have dabbled a little in the digital stuff. Looking forward to reading what you’ve got to teach.
