Create a rustic or vintage look to your scrapbook layouts by inking around the outside of your background paper and matts.
Digital scrapbookers can create the same effect by choosing a ‘grungy’ brush and swiping it roughly around the edges of your digital scrapbook layout.
Choose brown tonings for your ink or brush colour to create an aged, slightly battered look.
This look works particularly well with black and white or sepia toned photos.

I agree this is a technique that can add a great vintage worn look to papers and really personalises kit papers to make them different and unique to your layout.
