Paper, Digital or Hybrid Scrapbooker
Welcome to Scraps of Mind. I'm delighted to see you. Why not check out the site, and if you like what you see, subscribe to my RSS feed and get daily updates delivered to you. If you're not sure what the RSS thing is, then check out this 'RSS made easy' post. Thanks for visiting and I look forward to seeing more of you.
Last October tried a poll on Scraps of Mind to see what kind of scrapbooking we all do.
Unfortunately the plug-in I used was flaky and I couldn’t access the results to tell you what they were.
Well it’s nine months later and there are a lot of new readers on Scraps of Mind, so maybe it’s time to try again.
So what kind of Scrapbooker are you?
I think I’ve covered all the options. but if you can think of any I should have included, let me know in the comments and I’ll update the poll.
And if you are a regular reader of Scraps of Mind you’ll probably have guessed that my response is No 6. Bring it on! I love it all. But I do confess that if I had to choose only one type of scrapbooking (and thank God that I don’t) then it would be digital scrapbooking.
Digital scrapbooking is what finally convinced me that I was creative. And for that I will always be grateful.
So let’s see where you fit into the scrapbooking melting pot.
And why not share some of your thoughts on your favorite style of scrapbooking in the comments section below.

I chose Option 4 since I sometimes make some cards that are a mix of digital and maybe a few actual embellishments. For the most part, though, I am digital. I find it so much easier and I am not afraid to make a mistake and “play” with stuff to try out new styles, etc. I used to paper scrap and I still have all my scissors and punches and lots of paper and templates, too! When I have attended a crop (I bring my laptop and scrap as per usual) I have taken a couple of workshops to learn some different techniques but I find myself getting frustrated because I just don’t have the “hands on” skills anymore! Cutting with scissors with any precision is a nightmare because it is so much easier on the computer just by grouping layers!

Can’t argue any of your points there DreamScrapper. Most of my ‘hands on’ these days is with card making. They are my mini-layouts that I scrap by hand and I have to say, I do enjoy the tactile fix.
But I do love digital scrapbooking. I think once you’ve got into it, you’re really hooked. And like you, I’m more prepared to try new things with digital because there’s no fear of making a mistake. Ahh, so liberating.

I voted Totally Digital… but I bought loads of scrapbooking stuff over the last months, so there’s still hope that I’ll create paper layout(s) in the future…
