If you want to quickly spread your liquid adhesive smoothly over a large surface try using an old plastic card as a spreader. You know the kind I mean; those fake credit cards that get sent to you as promotions or an out-of-date loyalty card (I don’t suggest you use an out of date credit card as these should always be destroyed).
You can use the plastic card to swipe across your surface and spread the liquid glue to a thin even thickness and then when you’re done, just wipe the edge clean and you can use it again.
