Texture Tuesday
Wildheart of Wildheart’s Works brings you Texture Tuesday. Wildheart is a Paintshop Pro expert, but I know you’ll enjoy the tips and tricks even if you’re not a PaintShop Pro user. And you’ll find plenty of ideas to help you work with textures in your own program.
This week I thought I would do some work with the vintage texture pack I got from BittBox.com.
I simply took the poser tube I used and added the vintage texture as a new layer and then lowered the opacity so that the poser tube could show through. Then I took a grunge brush to give it a little more texture variance.
I took the deform tool and starting at the bottom of the image I then raised the deform line about a half inch up. Clicked select none and then took the magic wand tool to select and proceeded to fill in the bottom with the same vintage texture I started with.
I went into image>add borders>border width 30 pixels and picked a color within the design I was working with. I took the same grunge brush I used previously to add texture to the border.
I added the text and drop shadow and then softened it and here is the finished product.

I have to say I really am pleased with the results of this piece.
