Free Halloween Tips and Ideas

halloween scrapbook ideasWell Halloween is almost upon us. And although it’s not really a big deal here in Australia, I know it’s a major Holiday Event in many other parts of the World. And I figure that many of you are in planning and preparation mode for it right now.

So I had the notion to gather together some links to a number of sites I have come across that have knacky and cool ideas and tutorials for great things you can make for your Halloween celebration.

I decided to post this article now so as to give you enough time to actually use some of these ideas and freebies. And if you have any ideas of your own or links to your favorite Halloween web sites, please send them to me or include them in a comment on this post, and I’ll update the article to include them too.

But first, let’s get into the mood with this Halloween poem from David Norris.

Druids would not know this night

And Witches would in wonder gaze,

To see the festive costumed souls

That dash about the night in play.

Where Ancient Magick ruled the land,

Children’s laughter fills the soul.

Yet in this way the Night is honored.

Much like Ancients long ago.

You’ll have to register with the site to watch the videos but they’re good fun. Although I hope she doesn’t forget to take the spider off her nose before she leaves the studio.

I didn’t know what category to put this one in because it covers pretty much all of them. Halloween for Kids is all about Halloween. With activities, decorations, food costume, in fact everything Halloween. Not a lot of pictures but plenty of ideas here.

  2. We don’t celebrate Halloween over here, I think it’s such a pity, would have loved to dress up and go trick-or-treating!

  3. I think it’s really the US and Canada(?) who really get into it Antoinette. I know that growing up in the UK it was never a big thing for us and we didn’t go trick-or-treating or put up decorations. By the end of October we had Christmas firmly in our sights and were making a headlong dash for it.

  4. Cool poem – thanks :) I’ve got a picture from my daughter’s first Halloween last year, but really only the one picture to put on a page, since we were in Germany and they didn’t celebrate Halloween there! The poem will complete the page for me – thanks!

  6. Hi there. I wondered if Australia observes Digital Scrapbooking Day, which over here on this side of the big pond, is held on November 3. I’m trying to come up with something appropriate to post on my site on that day.

  7. In Australia it’s called International Scrapbooking Day June. And a number of stores and sites run events for it.
Hmmm.. tough to bring some attention to it. With the US focusing on who will run the world for the next 4 years and Australia focussing on The Horse Race that Stops a Nation (The Melbourne Cup brings this country to a standstill and in Victoria it ranks a public holiday), both happening the following day.
