Let’s Get Ready for Christmas Around the World
Welcome to Scraps of Mind. I'm delighted to see you. Why not check out the site, you'll find a bunch of great scrapbooking and blogging articles, tips and tutorials on the Articles Page. And if you enjoy this or any other articles on Scraps of Mind, I'd really appreciate you giving them a thumbs up on StumbleUpon to share them with other Scrapbookers. Thanks for visiting and I look forward to seeing more of you.
Well Halloween is over!
And whilst those in the US are preparing for Thanksgiving, we’re all starting to …
GET READY FOR CHRISTMAS!
And Antoinette from Sparky’s Scratches has come up with a great idea for a sharing of Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies. She contacted me about it and it took me about 1.5 seconds to realise that this was an idea that I wanted to get behind.
We’ve set up a blog (well Antoinette has set it up) where we’re going to collect a whole bunch of links for Christmas scrapbooking freebies.
This is the way it will work.
All the scrapbook designers who want to participate will host their freebies on their own blog. And our central Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies blog will list all the links so scrapbookers can go there and easily find all the goodies.
This is a hugely win/win situation. And you know how much I love that.
Scrapbookers will be able to find a bunch of fantastic Christmas scrapbooking freebies, and scrapbook designers will be able to get heaps of new visitors to their blog, and people who may well become ongoing fans of their designs.
Here’s what you have to do.
- Make sure that you have your Christmas freebie available on your blog by 30th November. So if you haven’t started yet you need to start pretty soon.
- Contact Antoinette at dutchsparky58(youwillhavetoaddtheATsignhere)hotmail.com with the link to your freebie post. Not your 4Shared link. We want people to go to your blog and see your freebie and what you’ve written about it before they download it.
- Display the Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies Badge on your blog, linking back to the blog. So your readers can easily click on it and find all the links.
- Promote the Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies blog on your own blogs. If everyone does this then everyone will get a bunch of new readers to their blog. And all your readers will get the chance to know about all these freebies.
So if you’re a digital scrapbook designer who wants the opportunity to bring your designs to the attention of a whole bunch of new scrapbooking blog readers you have to jump on board and reallly give this project a push.
Let’s face it, Christmas is the time for giving. But it doesn’t hurt if you can gain some new blog visitors too.
So let’s all get on board and make this the best Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebie Fest ever!!
So all you digital scrapbook designers … Will you join us?
Editing note: We have changed the name of this blog to Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies from Christmas Around the World. This is because there is an existing project underway by that name and we don’t want to cause any confusion for designers or freebie hunters. Now there are two great DChristmas Scrapbooking Freebie opportunities for you all.

Hi hon
Nope it’s not the same Christmas Around The World as we’ve been doing the past couple years. Looks like someone liked the idea and the NAME well enough to take it - lol! Not that blog trains are a new concept but ….. to call the train the same name is kind of tacky.

Hi Karen
Thanks for dropping by the blog. Don’t worry hon there’s no hard feelings - lol. We both have the same idea in mind and thats to give everyone a Christmas gift. I was mostly just worried about the confusion both being the same name and both around the same time would cause. I know just from the emails that I’ve received in the last little while that it was already confusing some. Thanks for being so understanding.
Hugs,
Kimberly

Well as you can see from the last three comments there has been some confusion over the name of our Christmas Around The World site. So to avoid confusion and any bad feelings we will be changing the name. But everything else stays the same so it’s all still happening and I hope you’ll jump on board.

Well the last thing we wanted was to cause confusion June. And I’m glad it’s all sorted out too. Kimberley has also put her name down on our list of designers so I think that’s a great gesture of support from her.

Do we need to follow a color palette, and is there any other requirements other than it has to be Christmas related?
I already have at least one Christmas related item posted on my blog every day. We are running a 50 Days of QP’s and they are all holiday related, so if that counts, then I am in
Please email me to let me know what I need to do now.

Hello Karen
I just have one problem. For the moment I cannot send any email. Something wrong at the providers. Lucky that I still receive them! Any idea how to solve this?
