The Pink Sisterhood Meme
I don’t normally get into tags and memes. But this is a special one.
Vicky from Moments of Color tagged me with this and because it is something that should be high on every woman’s attention list I want to share it with you.
This was kicked off as part of last month’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. But breast cancer awareness doesn’t stop when October is over.
Please take a moment to read the facts listed in the box below.
* Seventy-seven percent of women with breast cancer are over 50.
* Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15 and 54, and the second cause of cancer death in women 55 to 74.
* Risks for breast cancer include a family history, atypical hyperplasia, early menstruation (before age 12), late menopause (after age 55), current use or use in the last ten years of oral contraceptives, and daily consumption of alcohol.
* Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.
Facts taken from Women’s HealthAnd now here is the tag and the rules:
2. Add a link to the person who shared it with you.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4. Add your link to the list of participants below
5. Leave a message for your nominee on their blog.

Maintaining a high level of awareness of important issues plays a large part in changing our attitudes and our priorities. So many bad situations can be prevented if they are identified early. but as human beings we’re not that good at prevention; we tend to focus all our attention on cure. Often when it’s too late.
So let’s keep this issue in the forefront of our minds and maintain our focus on preventing breast cancer.
I would like to tag:
Antoinette from Dutch Sparky
June from Cen’s Loft
Leslie from Orangeina Dreams
Go forth and spread the word, ladies.

Stumble it!
