Seriously though, they really do inspire my thinking.

I get inspiration from all different places. Whether it is from something or someone I see or know in real life, to things I view online. Inspiration is out there everywhere.

Monet is another one of my favorites too Dakota Bear. I don't think I've ever seen a Monet painting that I didn't like.

What a great idea to keep an inspiration notebook Laura. And totally organized too. It's the sort of thing that I would start and then not keep up though. How great that you are using yours and adding to it with all the stuff that inspires you.

Gee thanks Gini. What a wonderful complement to be an inspiration for another scrapbooker.

I never even gave a thought to the great masters for inspiration. All my art and painting projects have been the country and "homey" type. I used to do a lot of tole painting since Pa. is rich in Amish and country crafts. The nearest artist to compare is Grandma Moses. I love the simplicity and country themes. I also use all the wonderful galleries on line at all the scrapbook sites. As I look through them one will stand out with just the right colors and arrangement. I usually copy it and add it to my inspiration notebook which is now brimming over. I love adding stacks and layers around the main photo and they usually end up being old country colors. The greatest thing about scrapbooking today is that we have so many choices in paper and products to choose from. I'm so glad I don't have to make my own colors like the "old days". I have a virtual rainbow to use right at my finger tips. I wonder what the old masters would think about today's choices of art mediums. The thing that keeps me going is creating a different look with each page. Never be afraid to try something new. You may be the inspiration to someone else!!

Debo is my daughter. She told me about your blog.
I'm a traditional scrapper because I don't want to be on the computer for a relaxing endeavor.

I'm inspired by Monet and the beauty of nature
