Hi Everyone, and welcome to this week’s Scraps of Mind Weekly Word Art Newsletter.
I hope all my Australian readers had a wonderful Australia Day weekend last weekend. I know I certainly did.
My partner Allan and I have started our own Australia Day tradition of heading off for a picnic for two somewhere tranquil, peaceful and with water flowing nearby. I really love doing this as it seems a perfect way to remind myself what a beautiful country I live in and how lucky I am.

DIY Word Art
At the risk of putting myself out of business
I made a video tutorial on how to make your own Word Art. You can watch it here. If you have a reasonable Internet connection I recommend you click on the High Resolution version because that is waaay clearer and easier to see.
If you decide to give it a try I’d love to hear from you and maybe see your creations. Making Word Art can be as easy or as complicated as you choose. it just depends on your design. And I find that some of the best designs are often the most simple ones.
I guess that’s true of many things in life.

The Scrapbooking Edge
Many of you know that I have been making digital scrapbooking training video tutorials over the last couple of months.
They’re aimed at the intermediate level digital scrapbooker, although a beginner can definitely follow them easily if they already have a little familiarity with Photoshop Elements.
I am very careful to make sure that all the things I demonstrate are clearly shown and are easy to follow. Because I don’t want people to struggle to understand what I mean when I do something.
I am very excited about these tutorials because I’m collaborating with Melo from Digital Arts Cafe who supplies all the elements for the demonstrated layouts in the tutorials. And we decided that all the digital elements that I use should come free with the videos so people didn’t have to go and by more materials if they didn’t want to. I think that’s a pretty special deal.
And if you’re interested in these video tutorials, Digital Arts Cafe have a great special on for January.
All my videos are 30% off.
But wait, there’s more… (sorry, it was a line just begging to be used)
If you buy the Frame Cluster Video Tutorial at 30% off, you can get the Cut Out Text Tutorial for a further 40% off. That’s a total of 70% off for the Cut Out Text Tutorial.
Not a bad offer, I reckon.
BUT THERE ARE ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT!!
This price offer finishes on Thursday 31 Jan so if you’re interested and want to know more, you’d better click over there right now so you don’t miss out.
