Hi Everyone, and welcome to this week’s edition of the Scraps of Mind Weekly Word Art Newsletter.
I can’t believe this is the last week of February.
I feel like I’ve only just put the Christmas decorations away and Easter is around the corner. It’s crazy the speed that time seems to be flying past. Do you feel the same?
Maybe that’s a reflection of a busy life. I know mine certainly feels very busy.
Thanks Heavens for Hobbies!
I find Scrapbooking helps me slow down the rush of life for a while, and settle back into a comfortable rhythm again.

The Garage Sale
Last weekend I went on a scavenger hunt through my house.
One of my nieces is holding a garage sale this weekend and she asked if I had anything that I could contribute to it.
Well there’s nothing like the thought of a garage sale to bring a gleam of market excitement to my eye. I looked around my house and you could feel the fear in the hearts of anything that wasn’t nailed down. Nothing was safe from my entrepreneurial eye. By the time I was finished I had enough stuff to run a garage sale of my own. Who knew I had that much surplus stuff?
And then my gaze fell on my scrapbooking supplies!
So much stuff that I never use. I’m about to have some long term house guests which means I need to make some more space.
I’m doing more and more digital scrapbooking these days and less paper scrapbooking, except for card making.
I really should package up some of this unused scrapbooking stash and donate it to the garage sale.
So why am I moving so slowly?
I’ve been ripping through the rest of the house like a maniac; ruthlessly condemning items to the garage sale. But now I’m in my scrapbooking room and I’m suddenly not so enthusiastic.
This is crazy! There is a heap of stuff here which I’ve had for over a year and never used, and probably won’t. What’s stopping me from doing the sensible thing and freeing up all that dead space and storage room?
Ooooh, this is too hard.
Maybe I’ll just pack it up into boxes and stick it in the attic….ready for the next Garage Sale.

News from Scraps of Mind
Did you catch the first episode of Touring With the Travel Teddies last week?
I made the album as a gift for my friend Jools who was a member of the Teddie’s Entourage and one of the Chief Photographers on the trip. You can imagine the interest that the Teddies caused popping up everywhere and posing for photos. And it was great to describe the trip in terms of their experience instead of ours. Stay tuned to Scraps of Mind for the final episode this week.
And make sure you don’t miss 21 Resources for Creative Scrapbookers. There are some fun links in this round up for all scrapbookers (paper, digital and hybrid) as well as card makers. I had a lot of fun compiling this list and I hope you’ll enjoy browsing through it.
And didn’t Hope write a cool article on Organising my Scrapbookable Moments? I must admit I’m guilty of letting the small scrapbookable moments slip away because I don’t organise some good memory joggers. And Hope’s idea is so convenient.
Don’t forget, I’m still looking for Guest Writers to join the Journalist Team on Scraps of Mind. So if you’d like to give it a go, please let me know. A reply to the Newsletter email will do the trick.

And that brings us to the end of this week’s Newsletter. Hope you enjoyed it.
Don’t forget the Word Art will only be available for downloading for a month after the newsletter goes out. After that the links will not work.
And please pop over to Scraps of Mind and say hello. I get a real buzz from hearing from you.
See you next week
