Hi Everyone, and welcome to this week’s edition of the Scraps of Mind Weekly Word Art Newsletter.

Some of you may have noticed a few hiccups last week around the time of the last Newsletter.

We had a bit of a server crash. Fortunately I’m blessed with a wonderful technical support organisation who swung brilliantly into action and restored reasonably normal service in an amazingly short time. However some of you may have experienced difficulties accessing the web version of the Newsletter.

I hope that you have tried the links again and succeeded in reading last week’s Newsletter and downloading the Word Art. The links are still operational so if you haven’t been able to do this please reply to this email and let me know.

The Garage Sale

A couple of Newsletters ago I mentioned the Garage Sale that one of my nieces was organising. Well it went off a treat last weekend. And no, I didn’t end up donating any of my scrapbooking materials. I just put them in a couple of boxes to think about again some time in the future.

Sigh…perhaps counselling would help.

The day was perfect, sunny with no wind. And whilst my nieces were outside promoting the cause of commerce, the rest of the family were inside painting and packing up a storm. Boy, a lot was accomplished on Saturday.

In a few weeks time my brother, sister-in-law and niece are moving into my house to stay for a while whilst they are ‘between houses’ so to speak. So I’m frantically rearranging my house to accommodate them. It should be a lot of fun, especially as both my sister-in-law and niece are great cooks.

My mouth is watering already.

What’s been happening on Scraps of Mind?

This week’s Guest Writer, June, wrote a terrific piece on scrapbooking the not so happy moments as well as the happy ones. A lot of readers really resonated with this one. So if you missed it make sure you read about The Sad and The Bad here.

Did you compare yourself to Mary the Methodical Scrapbooker and Hetty the Haphazard Scrapbooker? Chances are you’re not a perfect match for either of them but you will probably recognise some of their characteristics in yourself.

And I hope you found my digital scrapbooking tutorial video on how to make a featured section on your photo useful. I think it can add a nice touch of dimension to your digital photo, don’t you? If you found it (or any Scraps of Mind Article) useful please give it a Stumble using the button at the end of the article.

And that brings us to the end of this week’s Newsletter. Hope you enjoyed it.

Don’t forget the Word Art will only be available for downloading for a month after the newsletter goes out. After that the links will not work.

And please pop over to Scraps of Mind and say hello. I get a real buzz from hearing from you.

See you next week
