Hi Everyone, and welcome to this week’s special Mothers’ Day edition of the Scraps of Mind Weekly Word Art Newsletter.

All the Word Art this week has been designed with Mum in mind so you can use it on your Mothers’ Day cards or your scrapbook layouts of this special day.

Something for Mothers’ Day

As an extra gift for Mothers’ Day, why not download the Scraps of Mind Yummy Treats Recipe Book to give her as well. All of those recipes are guaranteed to hit her (and you) fair and square in her sweet tooth.

You can download the PDF ebook and print it off. But I would recommend going for the classier option and printing the high resolution files (packaged with the ebook) individually on good quality glossy photo card. When the ink is dry you can slip each page into a clear plastic cover and pop them into a pretty ring binder with the cover page stuck on the front.

For those of you with access to a laminator, why not laminate each page, punch a hole in one corner and clip them together with a jump ring. A handy little cook book that can be hung on a peg in the kitchen.

And as an added treat, you can bake her one of the super Yummy Treats in the book to give to her with your printed book.

I know she’ll love it.

And whilst you’re at it, why not make a copy for yourself.

Highlights from Scraps of Mind

If you missed Dreamscrapper’s great Guest Article on how scrapbook layouts are like sandwiches you’d better go and check it out. It is a gem.

And I’m hunting for some new Guest Writers for Scraps of Mind (or veteran Guest Writers would be more than welcome to do another article) . We’ve had some fabulous articles over the last few months and I think many of our Guests surprised themselves with how good their articles were and how well they looked on Scraps of Mind. I hope they also got lots of new readers to their blogs, because I want this to be a win/win thing. And I think it has been so far.

If you’d like to join in the fun, check out what it’s all about here. And then contact me. I’d love to publish you on Scraps of Mind.

For those of you considering joining the wonderful world of digital scrapbooking, I wrote a comparison review of some of the popular graphics editing software programs. I give you fair warning: it’s very biased towards my own personal weapon of choice.
